INTRODUCTION
Kibblewhite
Precision Machining, Inc. (KPMI), a long standing provider of premium valvetrain
components for the racing industry, has increased its ever expanding product
line with the addition of racing valvetrain components for the Sport Compact
automotive market.
According
to William Kibblewhite, President and CEO, KPMI has been designing valvetrain
components for racing motorcycle engines for over fifty years.
Due to the global success of KPMI in that industry, it was only logical
that KPMI would eventually expand into automotive racing as well.
Once the automotive industry started incorporating cylinder head
technology similar to that in the motorcycle industry, KPMI was approached to
develop racing valvetrain components for Honda's VTEC motors being used in
Acura's Integra line.
Kibblewhite
explains it this way: "For years
we've been designing valvetrain components for multi-valve motorcycle engines
that routinely see 12,000 RPM or more in competition. Once the automotive industry began incorporating similar
(cylinder) head technology into
their engine packages, the teams developing those engines began calling us.
It was the logical call for them to make."
"We've
been very successful in the world-wide market with high RPM multi-valve engines
for years. Automotive insiders knew
we weren't taking the 7,000 RPM two-valve technology from the '60's and trying
to pass it for something that would work for the 10,000 RPM multi-valve market
of today. Our global reputation
speaks for itself."
Since
those first kits were produced, KPMI has developed both turbo (greater than
10psi. boost) and non-turbo (up to 10psi boost) spring kits for 1.6 liter (D16Z6
and D16A6), 1.8 liter (B16A, B18A and B18C) and 2.2 liter VTEC and non-VTEC
Honda/Acura motors and 2.0 liter (4G63) large port Mitsubishi motor as well as
B16A/B18C/4G63 valves, valve guides and special Viton valve guide seals.
Thank
you for showing interest in our product. We
take great pride in our work and look forward to providing you with the best
valvetrain components for many years to come.
